What is stephen mitchell?

Stephen Mitchell is an American author, translator, and poet. He was born on August 28, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York. Mitchell is best known for his translations of philosophical and religious texts, including the Tao Te Ching and the Bhagavad Gita. He has also translated works by Rainer Maria Rilke, Pablo Neruda, and many others. Mitchell has published several books, including The Second Book of the Tao, The Gospel According to Jesus, and The Selected Poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke. He is also a co-founder of The School of Poetry, a writing workshop in Mill Valley, California. Mitchell currently lives in California with his wife, Byron Katie, a spiritual teacher and author.
